It is not a fact that this junk was
stopped by gunfire.
During the chase, what appeared
to be a British observation vessel was sighted patrol-
ling in the offing.

The true facts of this incident being as
stated above, it is not the case that the patrol
vessel of the Imperial Navy entered British territor-
ial water nor were the junks released owing to the
appearance of a body of Hongkong police.
